Ledge and Brace Oak Doors

We supply Ledge and Brace Doors , on standard and custom sizes, which are hand built using traditional methods only from good quality character grade European oak. Durable, elegant and efficient in enhancing the looks and feel of your home interior, these traditional ledge and brace oak doors are ideal for barn conversions, cottages and country homes alike.

Construction

The solid oak doors are constructed from kiln dried quality oak and each is made of 5 screwed and plugged timber planks of 20mm thickness. The character grade oak boards are tongue and grooved and have a V-Groove /beveled design which also helps prevent warping of the door over time. They are made with 3 ledges and 2 braces,  all of 20mm thickness. Overall thickness of our doors is 40mm. 

The ledge and brace doors come with a sanded finnish, allowing you to choose the final look of your door. You may consider oiling or lacquering for a special look.

On request the doors can also be made of other wood grades like rustic and prime.
